GPIB and windows 7

I'm trying to control a Saturn 2000 from a new PC. Does not seem to be working.  Worked fine on old system though.

What model PC do you have? What is the operating system and is it 32 bit or 64 bit?

It's windows 7 and pretty sure it is 32 bit OS.

Unfortunately the GPIB driver used with the Saturn 2000 will not work with windows 7.  You will need to get a PC with Windows XP.

Could I use the serial to GPIB converter?

You can try but it is not reliable and I never could get it to work at all.  Best advise -  go to E-bay and get a dell 745 for cheap. This PC was the preferred PC for running the Saturn.  Probably could find one for less than $100.
