Getting really poor peak shapes in autotune

Here's a list of things to check and that can caus poor spectral profiles of the cal gas ions

Check He flow is ~ 1mL/min
Check for high water in system
Space charging due to too many ions in the trap
Check/reduce target TIC and ion time in method
Clean trap
Calibrate EM (if too low, AGC will overload trap and cause space charging)
Check axial modulation
Make sure axial modulation readback matches set point.  If not, transfer line may be shorting to trap – check transfer line tip installation

Found that my axial modulation is 0 but set to 4 V

You might check to make sure that the transferline tip is not shorted to the ion trap oven.  This can cause the axial modulation Voltage to be grounded.  System won't work properly.

Appreciate your help, after we vented, we found that the plastic tip on the end of the transferline was badly mangled.  We are going to order a new one.
