Hi, this error is generally caused by a short somewhere in the source, but could also be caused by a bad main board 1.  I would first check the system vacuum, should be <9 x 10(-5) for default CC and column flows.  If your vacuum is good, you might first disassemble the source and check to make sure that everything is assembled properly.  Is model is this 7000? Is it a A,B,C or 7010?

It is a 7000C. The vaccum is good. I'll vent and inspect the system.

Everything is OK, I checked to make sure the ceramic in the repeller is not cracked and that it is assembled correctly.  We did recently changed to a different source.  I might try that old source.

Please make sure the tip seal (ceramic tip) that sits on the end of the transferline is in place.  The 7000C extractor source was redesigned and requires this tip if you have a EI/CI transferline or just the EI version of the transferline.  If this tip is missing the transferline can short to the source causing the a partial short and errors similar to the errors you are getting.  Here is the pic of the tip.  If you have a 7000B source or earlier you need the tip seal only if you are running CI.
